The Rally di Roma Capitale marked the return of international rallying to Europe following the Corona lockdown.  The first round of the 2020 European Rally Championship was an all tarmac event over 198kms of testing stages to the south of Rome.  
A strong line up include Hyundai World Rally Cars for Spaniard Dani Sordo and Frenchman Pierre-Louis Loubet.
Oliver Solberg made his full tarmac debut in a Volkswagen Polo R5 and Irishman Craig Breen headed up the MRF Tyres team.
Giandomenico Basso gave Russian Rocket Alexey Lukyanuk a run for his money in the battle for ERC honours after pre event favourite Andrea Crugnola crashed out on the opening stage.
